4 out of 5 stars Great cookset. Fragile anti-stick coating   August 10, 2008
This cookset really served us well on a recent trip. Very compact, and the chamois between the pots was a great idea to prevent rattling, and also came in handy doing dishes a couple of times. The anti-stick coating is rally fragile, though, showing scuffs from several uses with a plastic spoon. No scratch-throughs, though. I would but it again.

4 out of 5 stars Blacklite Gourmet Set Worth it...   May 27, 2008
This cookset comes up to temperature quickly and evenly, is easy to clean and has enough volume to cook for 4 hungry campers.

It is light, durable, and a definite upgrade from the stainless steel solo set that I previously owned. I was happy to find that I get a much larger set for the same weight that I was used to with the steel set. Can't beat aluminum!

My only concern, which is yet to develop, is the durability of the non-stick coating along the rims after repeatedly having the handle clamped on it and off during use. I guess time will tell?

4 out of 5 stars Solid buy   February 21, 2008

Positives: This set is very compact, very light, and seems durable enough to handle being in a trail pack (I haven't field tested yet). It comes with two chamois-like cloths, with the stated purpose of using it for washing, drying, or storing the pieces together. The potholder also comes in a "pouch" made of the same material. It also comes with a mesh bag.

Negatives: The bottom scratches easily (I had it on a canister stove and the pot slid a little across it). Despite accurate measurements in the product description, I was still a little taken aback at how small the set is. Great for minimizing pack size, but not so great if you're cooking for more than two people.

Update 6/29: I used this on a four-day, three-night canoe trip for three people. Maybe I just hang out with people who eat an abnormal amount, but I don't think that's the case. If you don't mind cooking and eating in shifts, that's not a problem... but when you're trying to get breakfast done quickly to get back on the water and trail, it's irritating. The surface is very easy to clean and seems to heat pretty uniformly, though. In addition to the bottom scratching, the sides took some chipping and scratching under normal use.

5 out of 5 stars No complains   January 8, 2008
The Teflon coating provides you a very good plus not only when cooking also when you need to wash them, it's easier to remove all the dirty using less soap. A little big (not complains, I'm Happy with them) for one person traveling with little backapck or bike panniers but they are enough also for two or maybe three persons.

They are better than the aluminium or stanley steel ones.
You only have to add a little cup or mug in order to drink hot beverages on your trip

5 out of 5 stars Good Quality Pots   December 2, 2007
The non-stick aspect of these pots is great for camping, easy clean up, good brand, great quality.
