 Nice purchase at a Great price August 14, 2008
I know that they make better chips for hundreds more but, for the price and quality you just can't beat it. My friends and family enjoy them as well.

After opening these chips, some of them had a tendency to stick together. Also a friend of mine said they were not the standard size of chips because they were too light(9.5g) and not wide enough.
From wiki, there is no official weight that chips must weigh, and they can range from 8.5g-10g and are usually no larger.
This is a good buy for a home tournament.

Most poker chip are pretty much the same....whatever!
These VEGAS Themed chips only add to the poker experience and give everyone playing something to talk about. I have received so many compliments on these chips and the price is untouchable!
I can not imagine there is a better deal out there for poker chips and especially unique chips such as these! Don't debate this one....just purchase them!

Chips feel and sound very good. They appear to be clay or clay composite unlike a lot of plastic chips. They are 9 gram chips as there is no metal insert, but the metal insert chips sound like metal and I prefer the sound of these chips. I know 11.5 gram chips are quie popular but I am not sure how that got started. Casinos do not use any chips heavier than 10 grams. Most chips in Las Vegas casinos are either 10, 9, or even 7.5 grams. All Vegas roulette tables use chips that weight between 7-9 grams. Heavier 11.5 gram chips make your fingers tired if you have a habit of shuffling the chips while playing.
The set insludes 2 decks of playing cards and 5 dice. The aluminum case looks very sturdy and strong so no problem there. All in all, great chips for the price.
