| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Professional watermen take the Smith Passage to shade their eyes. Bright glare from flat water and blazing sun is absorbed by the Passage's polarization. Trusted glass lenses eliminate distortion with their tapered profile and 8 base curved shape. Megol non-slip pads actually gain grip when wet so your shades don't go for a swim. A no-nonsense frame shape in solid colors represents the reliability of these tried and true glasses.

Amazon.com Product Description An all-around sunglass for the fishing enthusiast, the Smith polarized Passage helps you see clearly whether on the lake or at the shore. The Passage is outfitted with a Grilamid TR-90 frame that serves as the gold standard for active users, with hydrophilic Megol on the nose and temple pads to help ensure a comfortable nonslip fit. The polarized TLT Techlite glass lenses, meanwhile, ensure optical clarity while providing full protection from harmful UV A/B/C rays. Most experts will tell you that glass is the number one material for clarity and scratch resistance, and Smith ups the ante with its TLT Techlite lenses by adding a chemical treatment to increase shatter resistance. Most importantly, the Passage's polarized lenses reduce 99.9 percent of reflective glare on the water, helping you see the fish clearly even on bright days. Available in a medium/large fit, the Passage is backed by Smith's legendary lifetime warranty. About Smith Optics Based in Sun Valley, Idaho, Smith Optics, Inc. was founded in 1965 with the creation of the first-ever goggle featuring a sealed thermal lens and breathable vent foam. In the early years, founder Dr. Bob Smith, an orthodontist by trade, made goggles by hand using dental tools, foam, and glue. Before he struck a deal for manufacturing of Smith goggles in the late 60s, Smith would often trade his creations for lift tickets. These early prototypes were usually manufactured by Smith and friends around the kitchen table. Building on that goggle heritage and extending its expertise, Smith Sport Optics has gone on to set the standard for high-performance eyewear and goggles. Innovations over the years include the Fog-X anti-fog coating, PMT Perforated Membrane Technology lens ventilation system, patented Turbo C.A.M. Constant Air Management system, patented Regulator adjustable lens ventilation system, patented Roll Off's film advance system for motocross, patented ODS (Ocular Docking System) prescription insert, and patented Slider series sunglasses, the most innovative interchangeable lens sunglass available. Today, Smith Optics has become synonymous with innovative, durable, top-quality products in the eyewear and goggle market. The company is also recognized for its unparalleled team roster, which boasts some of the top names in biking, motocross, skiing, snowboarding, surfing, skateboarding, and wakeboarding. Like many other companies, Smith utilizes team input as a key element of new product introductions. In addition, Smith athletes are actively involved in the development process for performance testing and coloration selection. Smith products are sold worldwide in more than 50 countries through specialty and sporting goods stores. From Smith's distortion-free Tapered Lens Technology to the versatility of the Slider Series, with its patented, interchangeable lens system, its devotion to excellence, innovation and style has made Smith goggles and sunglasses the choice of action-sport athletes worldwide. Smith products represent authentic sports gear, researched and tested by a dedicated group of employees and athletes that live and breathe the lifestyle.

| Customer Reviews:
Smiths are the best February 16, 2007 Smith has pulled way ahead of the rest of the pack when it comes to polarized sunglasses. They have a tint for every light situation you could possibly encounter while on the water. Almost every serious fisherman I know depends on Smith Action optics. They are great for everyday use, too.
