Amazon.com Product Description
If you're taking a road trip, the Zune Car Pack gives you everything you need to be your own DJ, listening to your music through your car stereo while keeping your Zune charged. This device transmits music from your Zune into an FM frequency that can be picked up by your radio tuner. You can automatically select an optimal station for broadcast using the auto-tuning Zune FM Transmitter. It often takes more than one station to stay tuned in if you drive between different regions with different stations, that's why the Zune FM Transmitter has two presets so you can easily swap back and forth between your most commonly used broadcast stations. To keep up with a long road trip, you can charge your Zune while listening to music in the car. The magnetic storage clip allows you to keep wires out of your way, and the dashboard grip pad provides a great place to rest your device in the car. It is compatible with the Zune 4 GB, Zune 8 GB, Zune 30 GB, and Zune 80 GB.

What's in the Box:
FM transmitter/charger, dashboard grip pad, product quick start guide, product manual.

3 out of 5 stars Not what I expected   August 16, 2008
I read about this product in a book "Zune for Dummies", and decided to buy it to see if it would allow me to listen to music in my car. I was able to connect it, but the music from the Zune is hard to hear. Mostly what I hear is broadcasts from the radio station the auto-tuner selected, or static. I am currently using an old cassette adapter with my Zune for in-car music. On a positive note, it does allow me to charge my Zune's battery while driving.

2 out of 5 stars Zune Car Pack   August 15, 2008
This product simply does not perform. The problem is that you can't find a frequency on the FM dial that will not interfer with the Zune Car pack transmitter. Consequently, you can rarely listen to the Zune player for more than a minute or so and the volumn and quality of the sound leaves much to be desired. Don't waste your time or money on this one.

1 out of 5 stars Horrible; useless; worthless.   August 7, 2008
The Zune car pack is absolutely worthless. Having followed the setup instructions, it is clear that having your radio turned on or not has nothing to do with finding a usable frequency as another reviewer suggested. The level of static, wow and flutter(when it didn't cut out) made AM stations 70 miles away sound like high fidelity by comparison. This was when I was still parked. The auto-find feature kept selecting frequencies already occupied. Manually selecting frequncies made no difference since as soon as I traveled a half a mile or less, it would cut out. These problems were the same in both my cars. I can only conclude that anyone who thinks this device produces good sound has never heard a good quality car sound system. I returned the one I purchased in the same day. If I could I would rate it at "0" stars. Avoid this product like the plague.

4 out of 5 stars Almost perfect   August 1, 2008
It worked as advertised, with little static unless I was in an area with many, many radio stations. With an AC/DC converter, I even use this at our cabin to play my Zune through our little boombox.Zune Car Pack v2

2 out of 5 stars It works 1/2 the time   August 1, 2008
It is really tiring to have to continuously search for stations. I mean, when it does find a station it works OK, but otherwise it is just static. I live in Germany, so maybe that has something to do with it. If the tape player in my car worked, it would return the Zune Car Pack and just get one of those tape adapter things.
