Product Description
The Wald 582 sets the standard for ingenuity when it comes to rear baskets. Mounting to the side of almost any rear rack, this nimble basket is the perfect size for packing 1-2 bags of groceries while balancing your load. When not in use, the base of the basket pivots up allowing the side walls to collapse. A simple clamp at the top of the side panels keeps everything secured while the basket is folded up to one inch thick

5 out of 5 stars These are fantastic.   August 14, 2008
I purchased these, so I could run more errands using my bike. They attached easily, and I really like the fact that they are securely fixed to my bike rack and that they fold up. I can haul quite a few groceries with them. A gallon of milk and two 2-liter bottles of soda? No problem. The now-popular reusable grocery bags fit as well. My lunch cooler even fits. My only suggestion is to make sure you place them far back enough, so your heels don't catch. Also, they do add some weight, making lifting my bike in and out of my truck a little more of a chore. However, I've had my bike for 16 years, and with these racks, I'm riding more than ever.

5 out of 5 stars Bicycle Dual, rear folding wire carrier.   August 13, 2008
Dual carrier.
I received the carrier in a matter of a few days. The carrier was
packed in a secure box. The carrier itself is chrome plated and is of a sturdy nature. I was pleased with how it folds compactly and will suit my needs just fine. Mounting hardware was included and will work just fine. I will substitute the nuts with locking nuts from my local Home Depot as that would be more secure so nobody steals it. A five star product from a five star company.
Thank you....

5 out of 5 stars Perfect Racks.   August 13, 2008
Nice baskets for my grocery bike. They installed easily and are heavy duty. They do not rattle on my bike rack and carry lots of cargo. Some people, however may find heel clearance a problem with some types of bikes. I had no heel problem on my old Trek 930 mountain bike though.

5 out of 5 stars Strong and durable.   August 12, 2008
I got these racks so I could do errands while on my `exercising' bike ride each day. They attach with three pieces of steel hardware each. I did find that it's easier to pre-fit the basket, pre-form the straps and have all screws and nuts easily at hand. Grab two pliers, a regular and a needle nose in addition to the screwdriver and small open end wrench. The straps are somewhat universal in nature so you have to take a bit of time to get them right. Also make sure you mount them far enough back so your heel doesn't hit the basket while pumping. Once attached they are strong and flexible. I've stuffed these things full and the steel construction bounces right back. When you want them out of the way they EASILY fold into themselves and a strong but simple hook-latch holds them closed. They pay for themselves very rapidly with savings on gas if you want to reduce your weekly car mileage.
