Oh, it is a good glove and not bad for $10, but it turns your fingers black for three days D'Annunzio September 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Tony D'Annunzio in Caddyshack wore a black glove with his Carerra style sunglasses, but you didn't get to see his black stained fingers in the next scenes.
The dyes used to stain the leather black are subjected to stress and sweat (imagine that) when prepping with a bucket then playing 18 holes. After you take the glove off your hand looks like you have untreated syphilis and every physician in the club house from dentists to plastic surgeons will invariably start to discreetly drop their business card with a whisper and a chuckle of how three weeks of penicillin therapy and Cipro will take care of it.
On the back of your hand the stains can be scrubbed off, but on your mid finger pads where you tend to grip the club most firmly, ...that stain will be there for three days. (see user provided photo).
Just don't take it off until you get home and don't wear it if you plan on conducting or attending any significant meetings or greeting new clients.
I've used black cabretta gloves from Nike and FootJoy and they never stained like this, now those do cost more and it is evident why. This has never happened with my raingrip or winter gloves since those often have insulating linings between your skin and the dyed leather.
