5 out of 5 stars Eight steps saved me 8 strokes   May 14, 2007
I subscribe to many golf magazines and read them front to end for tips to improve my game but the DVD lets you see everything in motion. And with DVD format it is easy to return to a particular lesson and not have to wait for a tape to rewind.
I recommend this DVD for beginners and low handicappers!!

5 out of 5 stars Great overview of 8 parts of the swing with detailed checkpoints   September 23, 2006

This is a fantastic detailed look at each of the 8 parts of a good golf swing. After watching this DVD once, I video taped my own swing and compared my swing to the instructors. Each time I do this, I find more items to practice and improve. My swing is getting better each time I watch the video and practice.

I am an engineer by trade, so I love the amount of detail dedicated to each portion of the swing.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Swing Instruction   August 4, 2006

Jim McLean is the absolute best instructor I've seen. He takes the swing very slowly and methodically. He demonstrates what elements are critical, and where you have room for individuality. Even though he is on DVD, you can tell he is very patient with the amateur. On each step of the swing, he describes what is critical, where there is some room for divergence, and what is absolutely deadly to your swing. He also demonstrates many exercises to make sure that you perform each step correctly. If you have a large living room, I suggest grabbing a short iron and swinging right in front of your television - you'll instantly realize where you are going wrong and feel instant improvement. I highly recommend this DVD for anyone who has a basic understanding of the game of golf but wants to master their swing.

5 out of 5 stars Kinda cool   June 14, 2005

It's nothing like the swing I used to do.
I used to move around alot more.
Usually I had little or no control.
This would be great to practice if you only
have a small appartment or living room.
I used to step on bystanders once in a while
doing my old swing. It's kinda weird just standing
in one spot, but I love to learn new dance moves
    now and then.
