The dishes not only feature modern artistry, but also modern construction for durability through years of heavy use. With service for four, each setting includes a 10-3/4-inch dinner plate, a 6-3/4-inch bread-and-butter plate, an 18-ounce soup or cereal bowl, and an 11-ounce stoneware mug. To construct Livingware tableware, Corelle thermally compresses three layers of glass, producing a vitrelle glass composition that is lighter than other dishware, but more durable than conventional glass. The tableware resists cracks and chips with great success, while the lamination compression process combats stains, scratches, and fading. The user-friendly plates and bowls are dishwasher- and microwave- safe and warm food in conventional ovens up to 350 degrees F. The mugs, however, find safe use in the microwave only. For the best care, avoid soaking stoneware mugs for prolonged periods of time. Corelle discourages the use of abrasives or scouring on these pieces.  fun dishes...... July 13, 2008
I ordered 3 sets of these because they looked 'fun'.....I loved the colors and the dot pattern. My order came with 1 broken bowl (Hmmmmmm, Corelle?) and 1 plate that wasn't printed well. I was a little disappointed with the colors- it photographs much more intense than it is and for some reason, I was expecting it to have green in it....it doesn't...just red/orange/yellow & blue. I was promptly issued a new set to replace the 2 damaged pieces- I found that inconvenient as I had to repackage the unused pieces and the original damaged/broken ones and try to get to the post office or I would get charged for another full set. I really like the plates- just wish they had a bit more color, though!

We had regular dishes that the kids kept breaking so I packed them up and bought two sets of this instead. They're very bright and fun and hard to break. Plus they take up half the room in the cabinets that the others took and they're really light and they are GREAT for microwaving; they hardly heat up. My 10-year-old daughter can clear the table so much more easily :) My only concern has nothing to do with Amazon...the dishes are packed into the boxes a little sloppily...all the dinner plates are together, no padding between them and same for the little plates. Mine arrived fine however.

I LOVE these dishes! I wish I had bought them years ago. I love the great design--it is a spark of fun to add to my kitchen. They are very durable, as they hold up in the dishwasher and microwave well. They are also very light in weight. They are fabulous!
