Not so hot June 18, 2008 Coffee luke-warm after 30 minutes. A clue: If you can feel heat on the outside of your thermos, heat is escaping.
I won't buy another stainless steel thermos. Back to glass thermos for me. May be breakable, but at least I know my coffee will stay hot. Cheaper, too.
A classic in green! May 6, 2008 Same old bottle in a smaler size. Very convenient when you only want to carry a couple of cups of joe'. Made in China, but typically Stanley in quality. Get the matching food jar with it!
Doesn't keep my coffee hot. November 15, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've had this Stanley vacuum bottle for a couple of months now and I have to say I'm really dissapointed in it. I pre-heat it with hot tap water before I fill it in the morning. I then fill it with fresh hot coffee and bring it to work. By the time I get to work (1 hour commute) the coffee is already only luke-warm and needs to be reheated! Not good. I have an older full size stanley thermos that works great and keeps coffee steaming hot all day, but this 0.5 qt size is just bleeds off all the heat. As soon as I fill it the whole bottle becomes hot, so you know it's transmitting the heat to the outside of the bottle.
There are a few positives. It looks old school cool and is really rugged. Too bad it doesn't work for the one thing I require a vacuum bottle for.
Awesome! November 14, 2007 I just bought this last night at Target. Unless you must buy online, I suggest to go to the store. It's about $4 cheaper. I poured my coffee into the thermos this morning before leaving my house and 40 minutes later when I got to my desk to pour a cup, it was still piping hot! I don't have to waste water preheating the sucker either. It's not hot on the outside, so I can easily touch it and not worry if it sits next to my lunch. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I haven't had it long enough to note how it holds up. Also, that would mean there is no room for improvement. There's always room for improvement. Enjoy!
Great Thermos August 24, 2007 This is a great thermos. It is a good compromise between capacity, size, and weight. It holds just the right amount of coffee to keep me going all day without loading down my briefcase too much. It will also keep my coffee warm all day long.
