Beware! Shoe Liners wear out and give blisters September 9, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
After a few months use, noticed a blister forming on the ball of my foot. For a week, I could not figure out what was causing it... shoes were well broken in?
Come to find out the shoe liner completely disintegrated in the shoe... wore down to rough Styrofoam that is paper thin and offers no support.
Stuff happens. So, I called Brooks and asked for replacements (said I would even pay!!) I was informed they do not have that "part." I would need to go to a local store and purchase an "after market" brand.
With all the shoes out there, would pass on these... and would pass on Brooks. You would think shoe liners would be a no brainer... and they are integral to the comfort of the shoe...
Great shoes August 23, 2008 My last pair of shoes were Nike Pegasus, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I find the Adrenalines to be lighter and less bulky than the Pegasus, with comparable padding. I had tried a pair of Asics Gel Kayanos in the interim, but dropped them very quickly after developing pain in my calves and knees. Since switching to the Brooks I have developed no new injuries, which I attribute to the adequate padding and support.
I've really enjoyed about 100 miles in my Adrenalines.
Solid shoe for a larger runner July 14, 2008 At 6'3" 230lbs. and 20 miles/week, it was between the Beast and the Adrenaline. I have somewhat flat, but not truly flat feet, and the Adrenaline provides plenty of stability/cushioning for my 10k and feels pretty light during intervals. I can not comment on higher mileage runs, but if I could I probably wouldn't be 230. As long as the shoe holds up, I would purchase this product again.
Adrenaline 7, We Hardly Knew Ye June 13, 2008 Note: These have since been superseded by the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 8 - Men's, a /Runner's World/ Best Buy. As far as I know, the 7's are out of production. I like the 8's a lot, but I will certainly miss the 7's.
Running shoes are a very personal thing; my favorite shoe leave you injured and miserable, and yours could do the same to me. Reviews like this, then, aren't really very useful. Still, at 6'1", 263#, normal arch, walking & running about ten miles per week, this was the best shoe I've yet found. Great fit, solid arch support (important for big guys like me), well-constructed, just an all-around great shoe for my needs.
Excellent All Rounder June 1, 2008 Extremely impressed with the all round characteristics of this shoe. I would be not telling the truth if I were not surprised. I have always loved Brooks (Trance & Beast model owner), but these are just perfect in so many ways.
