Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Designed for skiers, hunters, fishermen, golfers, or anyone who works or plays in the cold for long hours, the Heatmax HotHands-2 Hand Warmers are air-activated and will provide up to 10 hours of soothing warmth inside gloves, pockets or wherever you feel a chill. All Heatmax warmers are made of natural materials, including iron powder, water, salt, activated charcoal, and wood fiber. When exposed to air, these materials react together to produce heat through an extremely fast oxidation (or rusting) process. Users should allow 10 to 20 minutes for the warmers to reach their optimal temperatures.

1 out of 5 stars Was a good deal before price was doubled   July 13, 2008
It is really odd how this product was $13 one dad then $26 the next. Not worth it at the current price.

5 out of 5 stars Good for Renaud's   July 5, 2008
My husband has Renaud's syndrome and these hand warmers are just what he needs to keep his
fingers warm while sitting watching TV. They are simple to use--just unwrap and hold!

Beware: These hand warmers contained iron filings large enough for one to get caught like a splinter in my hand. Fearing smaller particles might enter air and reach lungs or affect pets have discontinued use.

5 out of 5 stars Hand warmer's   May 22, 2008
I use the throwaway handwarmers daily during the cold weather and they are great. I have arthritis in my fingers and the handwarmer really helps when I play golf. jc

5 out of 5 stars Great way to warm hands and toes in winter   April 12, 2008
These were a great solution for me. I have extremely cold toes in the winter and sometimes nothing seems to help (even blankets and several pair of socks). I now take two of these and put one in each sock on top of my toes & they are great. I did not notice they were too warm as some of the other reviewers have stated - but everyone's comfort level is different. I use them in the early evening and found they lasted many hours - and sometimes were even still warm the next morning. I've used these for camping also - you can put one in each pocket and use it to warm your fingers on chilly nights. A super product.
