Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars maxfli tour fire   April 12, 2008
i shoot between 82-87 on a regular basis. i've been using maxfli balls exclusively for about 7-8 years now. lately i've been playing the maxfli fire balls but i hate that red fire logo on the side. it looks so corny. i'm not big on spinning the ball, but i wanted a ball that would at least check up a little better on the green. this year i tried the callaway hx hot bite and the titelist nxt tour. they were both more expensive than the maxfli balls with not much more performance for my game. others may feel differently, but in my opinion, the extra cost wasn't worth playing the titelist and callaway. the callaway scuffed very easily and the titelist felt hard when i hit it. anyways, back to the tour fire. the distance was about the same as the regular fire, and the greenside performance didn't seem much different than the regular fire ball. so in summary, if you already play the maxfli fire ball, stick with it (if you can get pass the sophmoric red flame on the side). the callaway, tour fire, and nxt tour were all comparable, but not worth the increase in price.
