1 out of 5 stars Amazon Adverstisement is Incorrect!   January 20, 2008

The ad title is misleading! The ad says "USB PS2" gps. If you order this product you will receive a USB-only GPS.

1 out of 5 stars Works but has no useable output.   December 12, 2007

The receiver is a good size and works as a land based gps with a laptop though not obvious how to initialize it. I was disappointed to learn that it has no standard output data sentence structure (NMEA 183) for to support an autopilot. Overall it was not used by me for this reason.

4 out of 5 stars Works wonderfully   November 5, 2007
Works great with Microsoft Streets and Trips. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was a bit difficult to install. Did not come with good directions on finding the right driver on the CD. But it's very quick to acquire a signal and is very accurate, which is the most important part.

4 out of 5 stars Works well   October 28, 2007
Worked the first time I installed the driver and connected into the usb port. I used this with GooPs and worked flawlessly. One minor issue I had at first was the included GPSviewer, it won't get any data from the GPS, turned out my laptop gave a COM port above 10 (COM12) but the GPSviewer can only get up to COM10. Just use a third party software, will work in any port assigned.

Over all I'm a happy camper, a good buy :-)

5 out of 5 stars Holux GR 213   September 18, 2007
I used this in Europe with MS Autoroute and it worked great. I also had a Garmin GPS 18 receiver and the Holux was able to keep signal when the Garmin would loss signal. the only time i lost signal was when i went into tunnels. I did have to reconfigure the receiver a few times when i would first start up. the port is serial so if you have mulitple USB ports it has to be plugged into the same one that you configured it with.
