Editorial Review Snowboarding can be an awful lot of fun. It can also be cold because of all that snow. Fortunately this indoor alternative offers a chance to snowboard in the comfort of your living room in exchange for having a traditionally snowy trip on the slopes. While it is a videogame, there is no need for a console. Simply plug the board into your television's AV outlets and climb onboard the board. Tilt yourself around on the board to select settings for racing or tricks then take to the course on hillsides and half pipes. The level of graphics is a few notches below what you might find on a gaming console but the simplicity of this board, combined with the fact that it gets you up from the couch and actually moving your body, makes it a great value. --Charlie Williams
Product Description Get off the couch and onto the slopes with this cool Play TV SSX Snowboarder set. Just plug the unit into your TV or VCR and hop on the board for some real snowboarding action. Your moves on the snowboard control the action as you cruise SSX courses and perform heart-stopping tricks as you become one of your favorite SSX characters. You can almost feel the powder as you watch and hear the realistic graphics and sounds on the screen. Comes with 4 adrenaline-pumping games. Maximum weight: 200 lbs. Imported.

Fun for all ages December 29, 2007 This gift turned out to be a favorite this year, with parents and children alike. My four, six, and nine year old children really love it, and my husband and I both compete long after the kids are in bed! Very durable, as my hubby is about 20 lbs. over the weight limit of 180 lbs. My only complaint is that the video "snowboarders" do say things like "Take that Sucka!" and "That's SICK" (which apparently means "cool" in today's resorts) I'd rather not have these two phrases bursting from my sweet childrens' mouths, but we just mute it, so it wasn't hard to fix. Great toy- great fun!
OK, but not great January 19, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We bought this for our snowboarding 11-year-old son. Being used to Playstation and Gamecube, he wasn't impressed with the graphics and control of the characters is very clunky. It's a cool concept-- but it needs more time in development.
Great bang for your buck January 3, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Bought this for a Christmas gift for my daughter, and it was the hit of the Christmas season. Just like the games at the arcades. Both of my children have already spent hours playing this. The ease of the plug and play makes this an extremely portable game, allowing it to easily move between TV's at home, or make the trip to a friend's house. Bottom line, money very well spent.
A lot of fun!!!! December 30, 2005 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this for our 11 year old for Christmas and he loves it. My husband is a little past the weight limit of 200 lbs but the rest of us love to play it. Our 5 year old, so far, is the best at it. He has scored the most points. It takes a little bit to get used to doing the tricks but it is fun trying to figure it out. I recommend this game for kids of any age.
Fun! Fun! Fun! Who needs the snow? November 27, 2005 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought this toy for my 9 year old neice for Christmas. I wasn't sure if she would like it but it was a hit with all of the kids and adults too! Easy to use, even my 5 year old son was in line for his turn. By the end of the weekend everyone was doing flips on the board and getting high scores. This toy was a big hit and highly recommended.
