This pedometer was not very expensive - which is fine. It is a little hairy as far as movement goes.
If you are sitting down be sure to open the device slightly so as not to record "steps" when you are moving around in other ways.
When walking, jogging, running - it is very accurate.

I really like this pedometer. My first one was always clearing the numbers if I leaned up to the washer or the sink or anything of that height. With this one nothing clears it until I do at night. It really helps you to walk a little more to get that 10,000 steps in for the day. I usually do about 3 miles with a dvd that I have, and on those days I can get as many as 13,000 steps.

This is the best way to count your 10,000 steps per day. It is very simple. Just press the yellow button, place it on your belt, pocket, or waistband and off you go. This pedometer has a high rating for accuracy as well. Give it a try for a healthier life style. I have lots of pedometers that measure calories, laps, etc. but this is so simple, even I can use it. I even bought a number of them for friends and my husband.

This is a simple bare bones pedometer. So far it works great. I love the tether and cover. I used to accidentally reset my other pedometer so the cover is a great feature. The tether is also a great idea because I lost my old pedometer. That's why I purchased this one. I got this directly from Amazon so my only complaint is that it was DOA and I had to buy a new battery. Grrrrr!

This pedometer is not the fanciest one around, and, it may not be the most accurate under all sets of circumstances. But, for one who just wants to have some reasonably accurate monitor of how much walking activity you get in a day, it seems to be fine. After all, it probably doesn't matter very much whether you take 5000 or 5500 steps. It probably DOES matter if you only take 2000 or 7000. For this purpose, it has worked fine.
