If you are thinking about buying this item here, please don't! My second chi just blew up and by buying this item through Amazon you will lose the mfg. warranty and Amazon will only stand by the item for 30 days. Buy at a reputable salon as they don't last very long, that way you'll at least have a one year warranty.
Great Iron September 3, 2008
I ordered this for my wife...she loves it. In her book there is no other flat hairstyling iron - she has very, very curly hair & she sometimes likes to straighten it. It works great for her - no problems with it so far.

Never having used a flat iron before, with my new hairstyle, I was told it would be easier to do. My stylist said only get the black CHI 1. So far I love it - just have to get my hands to work better.

this chi hair straightener came in great condition and works like a charm. only thing is, i brought it overseas on a business trip and the different voltage (even though i used a converter) somehow burned out the light indicating whether it's turned on or off. not a big deal. it still works great!
