Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars perhaps the perfect hybrid   August 21, 2007

My first 4dx Ironwood was a 2-hybrid. I kept a 4 and a 6 Cobra Baffler in the bag. To my amazement, I produced better shots with the "harder to hit" 2 hybrid than I produced with the sturdy Cobras. Why? The ball comes off the 4dx with a much more boring, low-trajectory flight. Wind is much, much less a factor. Now, the 4dx does not have as much bulge in the face as the Baffler, so mis-hits do not straighten out as much. The upside of that is you CAN hit consistent draws with the 4dx, whereas the "easier-to-hit" hybrids straighten out all but the most strenuous attempts to play a draw. The shafts [if you get the UST V2] are the best out there, bar none. The Nickent 4dx is a wonderful club off most lies you'll encounter. Buy them, and put up with all the extra distance and shot-making playability you'll be getting.
