Product Description Simplify your communications with this lightweight and versatile headset. You'll enjoy all-day wearing comfort, clearer voice transmission and superior sound quality - without wires! And with the optional Deskphone Adapter, your headset transforms into a powerful communication solution for both your office and mobile phone.
Amazon.com Product Description For the ultimate in wireless freedom, look no further than the Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset, which represents a generational leap in Bluetooth headset technology. The 510 is comfortable and light enough for all day wear, and it offers unprecedented clarity and sound quality. These are great features, but the real revolution involves Plantronics' exclusive "Multipoint" technology, which allows the headset to function as a powerful communication solution for up to two Bluetooth devices. With Multipoint technology you can switch between your voice-enabled Bluetooth mobile phone, PDA or laptop. The headset's "smart" technology knows which device you are using and allows you to take calls from any device at the touch of a button. With the optional Plantronics Bluetooth Deskphone Adapter you can even switch between your office phone and your Bluetooth mobile phone. You'll never need to use a dedicated "landline" phone headset again. The 510 features a noise-canceling microphone for clearer conversations, and it folds for easy storage. The boom also swivels for perfect positioning on either ear. One-touch call control buttons are placed for easy access, and you can easily redial the last number dialed and initiate voice-activated calls from the headset. Because the 510 is Bluetooth-enabled (it supports the Bluetooth 1.2 specification) you can roam up to 33 feet from your Bluetooth device. Meanwhile, the 510 supports adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) which helps avoid interference from wi-fi networks. Ample talk time is provided by the built-in rechargeable battery; you'll get up to 6 hours talk time and up to 100 hours of standby time.

Out with the NEW .... October 14, 2008 I liked this earpiece so much , that after the first one I had for 18 months ,shorted out from sweat , I tried 3 other types of B.T. but ended up purchasing another Voyager 510 . Great range ,comfortable ,works well outside and I`m in construction !It`s too bad they are discontinuing this unit!!
This thing is a waste of good money. October 13, 2008 It works fine when people call me, but when I call people it doesn't work 50% of the time. I use it for work, and when I have to call a client back because my headset doesn't work, that does not look good. I wish I could send it back because it was $75 of wasted money.
Comfortalbe to wear but horrible buttons October 12, 2008 The good: * Comfortable to wear. * Doesn't fall. * Good sound and speaker quality.
The bad: * Horrible on/off switch. * Not great volume control. * Bad battery indicators.
All in all while it isn't the worst product, there is so much to improve here that I simply can't see why it was such a top seller on Amazon. Shame.
Great headset but not for everyone... October 12, 2008 I bought this for my wife but had to return it. I loved it but she did not like the way it fit on her ear. Also tried the different ear pieces but to no avail. Great sound quality and all that. but no use if it does not fit well. had to replace with a Plantronics Discovery 665.
Disappointed October 12, 2008 This is actually the second Plantronics Voyager 510 I purchased from Amazon. The first one was awesome. It was so good, in fact, that it ran through the washing machine and upon charging still worked great. Clarity in voice and reception were great. The second one; however, was not so good. I only purchased it because I lost the first one. I had read reviews from others who did not have such good luck with their second purchase of this item when the first was awesome. And yet, I gave it a shot anyway, becasue the first one was so awesome and durable enough to be washed and dried. But the second one is hard to hear and people on the other end complain that it sounds like I'm talking in a trash can and get a lot of background noise. With the first, there was virtually no background noise. I don't know what Plantronics did between the manufacturing batches but they need to undo it if they expect to maintain their reputation. After this second purchase, I wouldn't recommend this item to anyone.
