Well-respected Zojirushi brand makes durable, reliable products. This thermal carafe is no exception, with a classic, simple design that keeps coffee and other hot beverages hot for hours. A button you press with your thumb while gripping the handle opens the carafe for serving, doing away with the need to partly unscrew the lid for pouring. An indicator on the lid tells you if the carafe is open and ready to serve, or closed. I got it so I can drink coffee on my patio. It works great. The one I was using kept leaking. No problems with zojirushi

A high quality product that does what it is supposed to....keep coffee hot. Only complaint (minor) is that you have to tip carafe a full 90 degrees before coffee will pour.

I like this carafe very much, the only drawback is that it leaks if you tilt it to far forward other than that works great keeps coffee hot and is large enough to hold 12 cups !
