Tomacco Vs. Behind the Laughter August 12, 2008 What a dilemma! This season features perhaps my all-time favorite episode, E-I-E-I-D'oh. Does the word "Tomacco" mean anything to you? If not, you must see this episode! It is freakin' hilarious! But then, it concludes with Behind The Laughter, a misbegotten effort that is one of the all-time worst episodes.
I am one who has loved Simpsons from the start, and still love it. But Al Jean isn't quite as good as some other show runners. I believe I read that he had a lot of influence in the (very disappointing) movie. But the movie was overly sappy and done in the style of the earliest seasons, whereas the later seasons are somewhat more random. I like the randomness, but some people aren't liking it.
Still hot after 11 long years August 10, 2008 For those who dare question if they should buy season 11 of The Simpsopns I dare ask you this question, "How can Ace be one AND eleven?"
simpsons 11th season August 10, 2008 0 out of 9 found this review helpful
After reading reviews...I think the simpsons show went down hill after the episode where they showed Barney Gumboe quit drinking duff beer...I mean that was a good episode but it appears that ever sense season 9, I think the show went down hill....half episodes on season 9, 10 an 11 are good an other half are ok...an as of now, the simpsons episodes(newer ones), are really garbage compare to season 11...I have no right to complain because the cartoon been on for soo many years and the show is a little old now and the writers are obviously probably running out of idea's.
But anyway I still think season 11 is still worth buying thr dvd set because if your a simpsons freak you'd prob. like it.
I like the older episodes on simpsons., but I kind of became bored with the simpsons after around year 2000....but I hate to say this but I'm not a huge fan of older episodes because I seen them soo many times all though growing up on repeats an I kind of have a good memory on the lines of epsidoes
Like one episode I remember the line saying (Welcome to the boring world of neils bore), on the commericnal that homer was force to watched it an plank call PBS n what knot....I forget what season where homer has to go to the island because of plank calling PBS on the phone.

finally season eleven is about to be released . like someone said it takes six months between seasons to be released but this one took nearly a year or maybe it was a year i stopped counting , when they didnt release this season after six months from the tenth season i just said to myself that they will stop releasing the simpsons , but after a long wait its finally coming on october , other peaple said to me that they wanted to wait a while to give time for the simpsons movie to sell i dont know if thats true or not , but thank god that the simpsons is back.
Not nearly as bad as everyone says July 24, 2008 This season (and pretty much every other season past the 10th one) usually gets a lot of negative feedback from the viewers, feedback which I don't think it deserves. Sure, it's a bit different in this season than from the previous ones, but it's still good, and it still has a lot of heart, no matter how bad some people make it out to be. And, well, I don't blame them for some part, as they feel the over-the-top and slapstick style of this season betrayed part of what the show stood for, and if they feel strongly about it, I won't condemn them. And admittedly a couple of the episodes are pretty God-awful (the alligator one, the horse one ain't too great, well that's about it for the bad but the mediocre one is the future episode and on some days the one where Marge goes crazy but both of the mediocre episodes have their laughs). But thisd season also has some of my all-time favorites, like the Behind the Laughter episode, Homer gets famous/takes Maggie swimming, the farming episode, halloween special, etc. And, well, it's opinion and unless yours is truly horrific (I'm lookin' at you, current Family Guy fans) then chances are I won't argue with it.
But don't even tell me the characters lost their emotions. That is just SO untrue, it's insane. Watch ANY episode, from ANY season and you'll see that the characters never lost their feelings and the show never lost it's heart.
Highlights -Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder -Treehouse of Horror X -Behind the Laughter -The Mansion Family -Grift of the Magi -Brother's Little Helper -Guess Who's Coming to Dinner -EIEI D'oh -Missionary: Impossible
Midlights -Bart to Future -Mad mad Marge
lowlights -Kill the aligator -Saddlesore Galactica
This season gets about 9.2/10 for me
