WOW! July 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
WOW! This video is amazing! I am a mother of 4 children, all one year apart. Despite not being back in my prime form, I am very athletic: I run, roller blade, take workout classes at the Y, do workout videos (Turbo, Tae Bo) in my basement. However, this video is challenging, fun, 20 minutes of constant movement and extremely effective...and that is only the first level! I have not made it beyond the first level, as there are three total levels. I was sore for days after my first time through Level 1! I can now pop in the video and immediately feel results. My goal is to do the workout daily, reaching Level 3 eventually and completing 30 straight days. Jillian is awesome!
If I can do it, you can too!!!! July 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wanted something that would take off the weight faster than my normal routine of speed walking about 4 miles a week, 5 times a week. I started this video about 2 weeks ago, and have done it about 8 times now, and I must say that it toned up my arms big time and took off the inches in those 2 weeks. My arms are thinner, more defined, and my stomach is flatter... I only wanted to lose about 10 pounds, and I am certain this video will help me get there. I eat the same too, I never changed my diet. This is also coming from someone who never thought she could get herself to exercise...but you also have to really want it to stick with it. Good luck, you will see results.. you have to stick it through beginning to end. Drinks lots of water!
Perfect Video for Moms. July 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After my second child, the weight wouldn't go anywhere and I was getting frustrated that I didn't have the time or the equipment to do a workout that I thought was necessary to see any results. So, after ready reviews, I figured I could justify 20-mins a day (while my kid was napping) and bang this out. I started out on level one having felt like I haven't really worked out in 2 years. It showed. It was tough but not too tough that there was no way to get through it. Level 1 was the perfect amount of intensity to keep me going. I have a plan to track my progress and hopefully help others.
As much as losing weight is important, remember muscle weighs more that fat so as your are burning, you are bulking. I am going to track weight loss and inches loss (in hips, thighs, waist, and arms) over the next 6-weeks.
I just started yesterday and I have recorded my starting weight and inches. After two weeks (6 days on 1-day off then repeat), I will chart my progress, then move onto level 2 for two weeks, chart, then so on till my 6-weeks ends will level 3.
I hope this will help you get motivated as I know this is what works for me. Remember, when you stick with it, it's inevitable you WILL see results. Just take it day by day. God Bless and talk to you soon.
Great Workout Video! July 8, 2008 I read the reviews on this video and decided to buy it based on reviews!! The reviews where true to the very last detail. If you want a good workout for the least amount of time. You need to get this workout video. I am thinking of getting more of her videos. I am still on level 2. And I get soaked, even though I have been doing it for a month now. I would recommend this video and I have to all my friends who are serious about working out. I love this video! Best ten bucks I have ever spent!
Not my favorite July 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have three other Biggest Loser Instructor DVD's--The Biggest Loser Season 1, The Biggest Loser Cardio Max, and The Power Sculpt. This is my least favorite of all. First, I think a 2 minute warm-up is not sufficient for the workout (6 circuits of 2 minutes strength, 2 minutes cardio, 1 minute abs) that follows. Personally, I wish the the ab work was a standing ab type circuit only because after the cardio circuit, your heartrate if fairly high and then you pop right on your back for abs...I'm not a fitness expert, but I have about 100 exercise DVD's and most allow your heartrate to decline before doing floorwork. It's too much strain on your heart. I also think that the circuits are too short to really burn enough fat to lose weight. If this DVD were customizable (like the Cardio Max and Power Sculpt) then the viewer could do 2 circuits in a row (excluding the warm-up in between) and get a good workout. There are good points to the DVD--good instruction, using upper/lower body moves at the same time to raise the heart rate, and no annoying chatter, but when compared to the other Biggest Loser Series Instructors, this is the least useful for me.
