Antwan Andre "Big Boi" Patton of OutKast proves himself an ingratiating leading man in the rambunctious rap comedy Who's Your Caddy. High-powered rap mogul C-Note wants to get a membership at an exclusive country club run by a racist snob named Cummings. When he's rebuffed, C-Note and his pugnacious entourage stir up trouble until Cummings' sleek lawyer Shannon (Tamala Jones, Daddy Day Camp) advises Cummings to accept C-Note, so that if he breaks the rules, he can be legally ousted. But it turns out that C-Note has deeper issues on his mind and isn't so easily gotten rid of--especially when he starts to woo Shannon. This slapdash hybrid of Caddyshack and The Brothers feels silly and features far too much flatulence, homophobia, blows to the testicles, and buxom flygirls shaking their booties--but that makes it no different from the output of the Farrelly Brothers (Kingpin, There's Something About Mary) or the Wayans family (Scary Movie, Little Man). Cummings hams up his villainous role with professional vigor, Sherri Shepherd (The View) camps it up as C-Note's assistant, while cameos and brief bits by Garrett Morris (Saturday Night Live) and Tony Cox (Bad Santa) give the movie some added energy. --Bret Fetzer

1 out of 5 stars Worst Movie Ever!   July 11, 2008

I am so happy I got this movie from the library, that was a big saver on this boring movie. I was hoping it was going to start getting good at the end but it had gotten dumber and dumber. Please save your money, DO NOT get this movie.

1 out of 5 stars Who's your Caddyshack?   June 6, 2008

Hmmmm, this movie looks very familiar. It resembles that other movie about golf. You know the one that came out in 1980? Only difference is that movie was funny and this one is flat out boring.

Plot: C-Note(Big Boi of Outkast) is a rich rapper who wants to join a golf club but the snooty owner Cummings(Jeffrey Jones) refuses to let C-Note and his pals join the club. C-Note does everything in his power to piss off Cummings and later on challenges him to a golf tournament.

Opinion: Doesn't that plot remind you of that movie with Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield and that silly gofer? This movie has other problems besides it being a ripoff of Caddyshack. You're sitting there waiting for a laugh and it never comes. Big Boi is not funny and the movie relies too much on fart jokes and cliches. Jeffrey Jones is overacting to the extreme just like he did in Howard The Shmuck. Sheri Shepard plays a caricature of a black woman and as a matter of fact the majority of the actors in this movie are caricatures. You know a movie is in trouble when you have Andy Milonakis in it! And the scene where Faizon Love and the rest of those guys are baring their naked buns in the locker room is not funny, its just sick. Almost as sick as Rip Torn shaking his naked bottom in Freddy Got Fingered. If you're looking for a laugh look elsewhere. Who's Your Caddy is 100% laugh-free. A certified double bogey.

4 out of 5 stars THIS MOVIE IS FUNNY AS HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   January 21, 2008

3 out of 5 stars Funny but not Great   December 27, 2007
This movie is full of outlandish behavior and over the top scenes while following a shadowy storyline about a man trying to protect his father's legacy. I have to admit that there were several funny scenes, but most of the humor is crude and not very tasteful. The movie is enjoyable enough, but you definitely won't be changed by this movie.
The Basics: a wealthy rapper C Note (Big Boi) attempts to purchase a membership to a country club, his application is denied, he purchases a home adjacent to the country club and ends up owning part of the club's golf course. It is later revealed the club record is held by his father, but is not honored because his father was a caddy and not a member of the club. C Note fights to make sure his father's legacy is honored.
Watching this movie will definitely not raise your I.Q, but its bearable.

3 out of 5 stars Standard Fish Out of Water Comedy   December 2, 2007
Big Boi of Outkast fame is making his mark in the film world. Antwan "Big Boi" Patton has held leading roles in the films "ATL," and "Idlewild." In the film, "Who's Your Caddy," Big Boi holds a starring role. Big Boi stars in the film as a hip-hop mogul C-Note who has to fight his way into membership into an elite golf club in this comedy.

"Who's Your Caddy?" is your typical fish out of water comedy. C-Note and his assistant and friends take over the gold club and try to inject their own bit of flavor into the place. "Who's Your Caddy?" features Sherri Shepherd, Faizon Love, Terry Crews, Tony Cox, Lil Wayne and Andy Milonakis. The film was produced by Tracey E. Edmonds.

"Who's Your Caddy?" is a really funny comedy and enjoyable movie to watch on DVD.
