5 out of 5 stars Graveyard Guffaws   January 22, 2004

This book is that rarist of gems - unabashed, gut holding, tear producing, humor from a counter culture author. And the best part is, this is apparantly all autobiographical! Mr. Kassel is a new millenium Groucho Marx with the wicked edge of Richard Pryor, and his life experiences are not unraveled quickly enough. I kept wanting to skip ahead to the next chapter! Forget the tepid "comedy" books by the likes of Bill Cosby and Jerry Sienfeld - this is the real deal. And at what it's being sold for, it IS a real deal!

4 out of 5 stars It's been a while, but I remember laughing hard!   October 25, 2000

I came across this book years ago, and haven't seen it in a long time. But my roommate at the time and I tried to read some of these short stories aloud to each other, and several times got laughing so hard that tears were streaming down our faces and we couldn't go on! It's silly stuff - pretty wacky. Actually got my former roommate and I thinking perhaps we should write down some of our own silly stories. Maybe you'll be inspired, too.
