Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Save your money   September 5, 1999
This topic cries out for illustrations and/or photographs, and for the 24.95 cover price, and even Amazon's 19.96, I expected some. Instead, a tiny 76 page 4 x 6 paperback with NO photos and wide margins.

The reader is asked to visualize, hole by hole, the author's experience with his own (and I suspect only) micro course while flipping back and forth from the page to the primitive map of his course that serves as the cover art-the only visual in the book.

Some captioned photos could have eliminated about 2/3 of the text, in which case, what you would have left would be a brochure-for Microgolf's supply catalog, which you can get with the conveniently enclosed post card.

Without being able to see possiblities, I wasn't inspired to even attempt to follow a 31 day timeline that incredibly begins with "Day 1: Envision green placement, Envision tee placement, Determine Shape of Green, Fluff Grass in green, apron, tee and nursery areas. ... Sculpt, lift and level where necessary"

I would have exercised my 30 day return option had the tiny book not become lost for a long time in a pile of mail.

5 out of 5 stars The gift he gives is a link for the imagination   May 16, 1998
THIS BOOK HAS MANY IDEAS THAT WE NORMALLY WOULDNT EVEN THINK OF. AS ITS CONCEPTION AND PRINT PROVES, 18 HOLES IN A 50'x 60' URBAN BACK YARD? IF YOU'VE THOUGHT ABOUT IT, BUY IT, IF YOU'VE DONE IT, PICK IT UP ANYWAY. IT'S POSSIBLE THAT YOU MISSED THAT ONE THING HE FOUND... THE JOY OF THE GAME.
