I was surprised to see the negative review here. I have always been a huge fan of Taste of Home recipes. I get the magazine, buy the booklets in the grocery store line, and have made countless recipes from their website. This cookbook is no exception. There are tons of tips, each category has an alphabetized index, and color photos of each recipe, just like we would expect. I think the only thing I was disappointed with was that to save page space, many of the recipes are split up, the first part on one page, the rest on the next. Otherwise, I've already made a couple of the recipes from this book and each one has been great. I think out of the hundreds of TOH recipes I have tried, I have only tossed two.

This was a huge disappointment. I was so used to the phenomenal recipes from America's Test Kitchn cookbook that this one had no chance. I've actually given up on using it as every recipe I've made from it has been a flop. There are much better cookbooks out there so if you're going to buy this one, make sure and buy a used one.

I have been cooking for several years and have an extensive cookbook collection (including two large Betty Crocker books), but when I bought this on a whim, I had no idea how good it would be. It has recipes that I don't have anywhere else, cheese balls, fudge, buttermilk fried chicken...the list just goes on and on. Every recipe I have made so far is delicious! It literally tastes like food from a restaurant, and it is so easy. Here are the sections:
