Product Description
"The highly anticipated follow-up to the 2,000,000 copy bestselling inspirational book, The Power of Now With his bestselling spiritual guide The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle inspired millions of readers to discover the freedom and joy of a life lived "in the now"? In A New Earth, Tolle expands on these powerful ideas to show how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world. Tolle describes how our attachment to the ego creates the dysfunction that leads to anger, jealousy, and unhappiness, and shows readers how to awaken to a new state of consciousness and follow the path to a truly fulfilling existence. The Power of Now was a question-and-answer handbook. A New Earth has been written as a traditional narrative, offering anecdotes and philosophies in a way that is accessible to all. Illuminating, enlightening, and uplifting, A New Earth is a profoundly spiritual manifesto for a better way of life and for building a better world."

5 out of 5 stars Great Book!!   October 11, 2008
This is a great book and I highly recomment it. I read it in one day and gave it to my sister-in-law to read. She agrees with me that everybody should read this book.

1 out of 5 stars Awful   October 11, 2008
Nauseating New Age pablum for the porridge-brained. It was a gift from a clueless and flakey acquaintance so I tried to read it but it was just terrible. I'd have never imagined this hokum would lure so many people. I might write one of these and cash in on the trend if I didn't feel so sorry for the types who fall for this psychobabble. But someone has to take their money, I suppose . . .

5 out of 5 stars The fantastic Eckhart Tolle's New Earth.   October 10, 2008
This book has changed my life! It's just wonderful! In my opinion everybody must read it. I'm attending the online course on Oprah's site and it's been really great. Enjoy the reading...

1 out of 5 stars A New Earth   October 10, 2008
I thought "A New Earth" would be a revelation. Instead, it takes me on a trip describing "the ego". This is fully described in the bible and the bible speaks to all aspects of it and how to handle it in a much simpler way. My "life's purpose" is also fully described in the bible. Very disappointed.

3 out of 5 stars Undecided.   October 10, 2008
This was not a quick read for me. I am almost done with it, and I still don't know what to think of it. It makes you question your every thought.
