Plastic comb-square bound. Front and back covers are plastic laminated pictures. This book is hand made by Don Sullivan, at his home, with his two hands with loving care. It gives you all kinds of information. Boating fuel stops, campground maps, lodging, restaurants, bars on the water, supply stops, packing list, mansion tours, nude beaches, short hikes, fishing guide, snorkeling, golf courses and many other helpful information around Lake Tahoe. Even has some history of Lake Tahoe from 1844-2000. Has hand drawn maps of Lake Tahoe. The pictures are all hand drawn by the author. Lots of information, no Kayaker or fisherman should go without.

Awesome guide book, extremely infomative and insightful January 29, 2008

As a recreational kayaker who has become more avide over the years, I genuinely like this book. Kayaking Tahoe should be the "Offical" guide in my opinion. The author has clearly spent years loving this beautiful lake. The information contained in the pages seemingly comes from a local who has grown up playing in and around Lake Tahoe. The book highlights campgrounds, weekend water get-aways, fun/unique spots to visit, and more. There is a comprehensive fishing guide, general tourist information, outdoor safety tips, recipies, and fantastic, intricate hand drawings from a bonefide artist.
