Product Description "Judy can pat the bunny. Now you pat the bunny." This Golden Book paperback edition is written and illustrated by Dorothy Kunhardt and is one of our classic toddler books. In this beloved classic, Paul and Judy play peekaboo, smell flowers, look in the mirror, and, of course, pat the bunny! All eight activities in this timeless favorite will fascinate your little one. Includes one stuffed animal bunny! This is a classic book to say goodnight with at the end of the day.
Amazon.com "Judy can pat the bunny. Now YOU pat the bunny." Sound familiar? Pat the Bunny is a part of childhood, as soothing as cocoa and animal crackers. Dorothy Kunhardt's interactive book for babies and toddlers was one of the first of its kind when it was published in 1940, and it has since sold over six million copies. We pat the soft fur of the bunny, play peek-a-boo, look in the mirror, and then do it all over again. (And again and again and again.) After you Pat the Bunny with your baby, why not Pat the Cat and Pat the Dog? These two sequels were written by Edith Kunhardt, the daughter of the author of the original book. Both use the same tried-and-true Pat the Bunny format: sturdy cardboard pages with eight activities that wee ones can explore, from sniffing some brownies, to squeaking a teddy bear, to unfastening Grandma's tennis shoe. The simple line drawings and pastel colors don't do much for adults, but somehow they are just right for babies. This boxed set is a fine choice for a baby gift or first birthday present, and a lifesaver on a long car trip. (Baby to preschool) --Marcie Bovetz

Classic Baby Book August 13, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Pat the Bunny is the best first book to read to your baby. My daughter is fascinated by the bunny and the beard. If you receive two copies at your baby shower like I did, keep both because it will be loved to bits.
Not all that sweet August 11, 2008 Overall just kind of cheap feeling. I'm pretty sure my daughter will destoy this soon. The bunny fur already came off in big clumps with the first pat. I would return it but who has the time as a busy mom??
Overrated July 7, 2008 This book is not as great/classic as it is proclaimed to be. I look at Alborough and Boynton books before I look at this one. The art is horrible, its too european (mummy), and too blonde haired and blue eyed. My daughter likes it, but not as much as her other rhyming books.
Pat the Bunny - Too Cute June 9, 2008 If you're looking for a cute book that also stimulates the senses, this is the book for you and your children. A reader and activity book all in one.
wonderful for reading to babies May 25, 2008 This book should be read to every new baby ... I've read it a million times for my own children ... and presented it to new parents. It is a book the baby will love through the years!!
