Book Description Train like the pros to improve your golf game. Kelly Blackburn is a fitness consultant and personal trainer to PGA TOUR professionals, as well as the fitness contributor for pgatour.com the official website for the PGA TOUR. In Exercises for Elite Golf Performance, she provides her trend-setting strength and flexibility system, the "Elite Golf Performance Program." This system has helped the pros drop strokes from their scores, and it can do the same for you! Blackburn includes 138 illustrated exercises so you can easily see how each is performed and make sure you're always using proper technique. First, you'll use her "Fitness Analyzer" to pinpoint your current fitness level. Then, you'll begin one of the three levels of strength programs, so you can benefit from this program right away no matter what shape you're in now. It takes more than new equipment to turn your golf game around. Better physical conditioning is what allows the pros to hit drives farther than ever and play 72-hole tournaments nearly every week. Use the pros' workouts to get in shape now and see significant results on your scorecard for the rest of your life.

Very Helpful September 20, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was looking for exercises that I could do at home that would help my golf game. All of the exercises in the book can be done at home although some equipment is required. With just a set of hand weights, most of the exercises can be done. The exercises are well illustrated and not too difficult.
Great Book with a complete list of exercises for all golfers April 10, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book has excellent pictures with easy to follow exercises. This book is like no other because it goes through practically every muscle to build strength in.
She goes over how to work-out the quadriceps, outer thigh muscles, back, shoulders. This helped me to increase my clubhead speed.
I also highly recommend, The Ultimate Golf Instruction Guide: Key Techniques for Becoming a Zero Handicap Golfer or Better (author is Patrick Leonardi). The second book helped me to play consistently good at golf. It has extremely effective techniques.
Blackburn's book helped me to gain strength, which contributed to me hitting the ball further.

I've been Sticking to the program for 1 month now and notice a big diffrence in my back swing (More Flexable). Key to this book is give it time.
Aerobics Class Meets Golf? August 26, 2001 2 out of 10 found this review helpful
Not much on how to put together a program, mostly exercise photos, most of which appear to be exercises from the aerobics class at my club. Elite? My oppinion is NOT!
It Works! February 20, 2000 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
This program makes sense! I bought this book in November for my trainer and he developed my program using the guidelines recommended. I have increased my driving distance 14 yards, I have more energy for all 18 holes and I feel great!
