Product Description When you loved the one who was killing you, it left you no options. How could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life was all you had to give, how could you not give it? If it was someone you truly loved?
To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife have led her to the ultimate turning point. Her imminent choice to either join the dark but seductive world of immortals or to pursue a fully human life has become the thread from which the fates of two tribes hangs.
Now that Bella has made her decision, a startling chain of unprecedented events is about to unfold with potentially devastating, and unfathomable, consequences. Just when the frayed strands of Bella's life-first discovered in Twilight, then scattered and torn in New Moon and Eclipse-seem ready to heal and knit together, could they be destroyed... forever?
The astonishing, breathlessly anticipated conclusion to the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions.

Happy Ever After October 6, 2008 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
Breaking Dawn was the wonderful ending to a wonderful story. Bella develops into a mature adult and gets married, has a child that she gives up her human life for and Edward gets to be a dad which he thought was impossible. Even Jacob has his happy ending as he finds his soul mate in Bella's daughter. To me it was the fairytale ending to a fairytale story. It couldn't have ended any other way.
good fantasy October 6, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have to admit that the final book was a bit of a departure from the rest of the series - more fantastic and less romantic - but I liked it.
I agree with the other reviewer... all the single star reviews ARE definitely killing my buzz. The book doesn't contain a powerful message for today's youth, it's just good (fun) fiction.
A Little Torn October 5, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have to admit, I do not like to read...however, I bought the audio CD's in order to enjoy the Twilight series. I am kind of glad I did, because with the amount of detail that Stephanie Meyer writes with, it is a bit exhausting. The books were slow at the beginning, but always made it worth it in the end. At one point, I was so eager to finish, that I stayed up listening until 5am.
Spoilers below:
I know a few people did not appreciate the happy ending in this last book. I am a bit torn on this issue. Although, I am happy it all worked out, it is not realistic. I mean, the entire series was based on the results of their choices. Every character made a choice that later "bit" them in the end. But it always worked out. Every time, it worked out.
If I were to do an alternate ending, I think that Bella should have had to choose between Edward and her daughter, and one of them should have died. As it stands, there is no real consequence for any of the actions and choices that they had made.
Bella is a weird character as well, always pessimistic and optimistic at the same time. I think she says the word "fine" about 5 million times in these books. She worries about what will happen and predicts the worst outcome, but then thinks that having a mutant child will all work out. Weird, huh?
At one point, I was very uncomfortable with Edward's over-protectiveness. It was almost too obsessive, his love for her. The story was in the end a good one. I would recommend it to everyone to just experience it. But, it looks like the crowd is split. Half of you will love it, and the other half won't. Make up your own mind, or do what I will do, and make up your own alternate ending.
Breaking Dawn...so so October 5, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I love the Twilight Saga. I adore this book series. When I first read twilight, I couldn't put the book down. I read it in one day. Then I read it 5 more times in one week. New Moon was wonderful too. When Edward left Bella, I cried. It was such a sad thing. Maybe a little over the top, but it was still good. Eclipse was also a good book. It introduced alot of issues, like the jacob bella issue, and the whole when Bella would become a vampire. All in all, I LOVED these three books. When I read Breaking Dawn, I didn't know what to think. Now I realize that Breaking Dawn was more of a disapointment for me. I liked the story line, But I agree with alot of things that I have read in other reviews.
Yes, I know that the book series is fantasy, that anything can happen because they are not real. But the whole point is, is that they have things that ARE real in them. I agree that I do not know what teen would be excited that they were pregnant. Bella has a totally illogical response to being pregnant. She is excited. She didn't want to marry Edward, let alone have a baby. So when her heart is full of joy at the thought, it confuses me.
Another thing that I didn't really like was how Bella got everything that she wanted. Don't get me wrong, I'm am very happy that she got the things she wanted. But the ending was like any other fairy tale. It was boring and bland. This story did not evoke the same feelings for me as the other books did.
Another thing that I agree with, is that the author totally cut off the relationship with Bella. I can honestly say that in this book, I didn't really understand Bella that much. I lost sight of who she was. It made me sad that I couldn't really relate to her that much. The author told you what the feelings she had, but you couldn't fell those feelings. I might as well have read a science report describing a rock.
All in all, this book was not what I had hoped it would be. I am happy that Bella got things that she wanted. I still like the twilight series, I have just lost some respect for the series. Twilight will remain my favorite book, because it isn't as fake as the others. Happy reading :)
Going back a century October 5, 2008 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
Fantasy? Yes, fantasy but dangerous for young girls. It's all about the boys girls. Find your "soul mate" or else you will whither on the vine. You'll pine, pout until you and your "soul mate" are bonded. Pretentious claptrap. Sad, that in this day and age, someone again directs young women to find their fulfillment in life through their boyfriend--vampire or human. I thought we'd moved past this but, apparently, not.
