Product Description
Today nearly everyone is familiar with holograms, three-dimensional images projected into space with the aid of a laser. Now, two of the world's most eminent thinkers -- University of London physicists David Bohm, a former protege of Einstein's and one of the world's most respected quantum physicists, and Stanford neurophysiologist Karl Pribram, one of the architects of our modern understanding of the brain -- believe that the universe itself may be a giant hologram, quite literally a kind of image or construct created, at least in part, by the human mind. This remarkable new way of looking at the universe explains now only many of the unsolved puzzles of physics, but also such mysterious occurrences as telepathy, out-of-body and near death experiences, "lucid" dreams, and even religious and mystical experiences such as feelings of cosmic unity and miraculous healings.

This is a most interesting book - And a validation of the power of God November 5, 2008 This book totally blew my mind man! What a twisted universe we live in! I once found a piece of plastic that I had lost 4 years prior.. It turned up on the other side of the city man! A place I had never been before! This book substantiates all the uncommon pecularities in my life! I thank God for a great and wonderful universe such as this that we live in. Thanks God! (Spoken while pointing both index fingers toward the Heavens!)
I SO GET THIS BOOK October 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I enjoyed the book so much I am on my second reading of the book. This book explains Quantum Physics better for me than dance of the wu-li masters. I am a Buddhist and most of everything in this book rings true to the Buddhist view of life. Someone needs to take this material and make a documentary out of it. thanks F. White-Poe
A lasting impact October 9, 2008 I first read this book about ten years ago. It was recommended by my daughter after I went into a time of life when I was really interested in spiritual matters (I was just over 60 then). It made a difference in my thinking then and recently my wife and I started reading it again, together. She had heard me reference it so many times in conversations with others, she decided she wanted to know more. I had had a personal experience with the phenomenon of mind-over-matter following an accident and it was illuminating to learn of others that had similar experiences. If you are not threatened to explore spirituality in a broad sense you will be enlightened by the thoughts in this well documented book. It was written for the lay person and does an excellent job of describing and unifying recent developments in physics, biology, psychology and philosophy.
Superb writing. August 22, 2008 Full of research and personal stories. It shows how our belief systems create our reality.
A Thought Provoking Discussion August 15, 2008 Other than a very rudimentary understanding, or rather acknowledgment of the existence of holograms/holographic science via watching too many Star Trek reruns, I hadn't the first clue the impact of holography. What this book does very well is offer some salient facts about the science as it relates to the deeper mysteries of life. Is this a science textbook? No! It is a well thought out, well written treatise on the possible implications of a holographic universe. Clearly, scientific materialists are not going to like this book as it speaks of things that can't be seen or measured, but what the hell is wrong with some discussion, some insight, inspiration, a "leap of faith" just to get the creative juices flowing?! I found this to be an exhilarating read.
