Golf Humor scores an ace! March 6, 2001 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've read dozens of books about golf and this is the first sincerely funny one I've ever read, and yet it covers all facets of the game. Author Don Veller, a retired college golf coach who coached several veteran PGA Tour players such as Paul Azinger and Hubert Green, knows his stuff. The book is a compilation of hundreds of poems and limericks, as well as many hilarious illustrations created specifically for this book. It covers everything from hazards and bad swings to pet peeves, poor putting, bad habits, conniving cheaters and obsessions with the game. The author is nearly 90 years old and his poetic doodlings are just incredible.
